This Sunday sees Hull Kingston Rowing Club host the latest Explore Rowing Regatta in Yorkshire and the North West.

The Explore Rowing programme is British Rowing’s flagship scheme for increasing participation in rowing with clubs from across England being able to purchase recreational boat packages to allow more people to Learn to Row and participate in recreational and touring rowing.

Out of the Explore Rowing scheme, the Explore Regatta series has been launched where clubs from across the region come together at a club and race in the host clubs Explore Rowing boats over a short distance. The events are designed for people new to the sport and those who don’t wish to compete in the traditional fine boat regattas.

Hull will be the second club in Yorkshire to host one of the Explore Regatta events and we are looking forward to seeing clubs from across Yorkshire and the North West visit us for an afternoon of racing.
