Row to compete

W Nov 4+ Lincoln Head

For people who have rowed before who are living in Hull and the East Riding and are looking either for a racing club or wanting to get back into rowing then Hull Kingston Rowing Club is the club for you.

If you’ve recently graduated and want to race but don’t want 10 sessions per week, or if you’re wanting to get back into the boat after a 20 year break then get in touch!

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive community rowing club where our club members can train and compete to a level which best suits their lifestyle rather than the demands of a high performance programme.

We compete at most events in Yorkshire and also race at some events in the Midlands and the North West and some further afield.

Our water sessions take place at Welton Waters Adventure Centre where we have a fleet of single, double and quad/four racing boats and larger training boats for less experienced scullers. The lake we train on is ideal for competitive side by side training making training sessions more exciting than the usual long distance outings.

In addition to people wishing to row, we are always looking for people to cox. Unlike many clubs we don’t put emphasis on height/weight, we are looking for enthusiasm to learn how to steer four people in a boat and make them go faster!

The club has a number of qualified and experienced coaches who have coached at a variety of levels and at clubs across the country, providing competitive rowers with the skill and knowledge they require to be competitive.

If you do wish to get involved for the forthcoming season at both Senior and Masters level then contact us at hullrowingclub@googlemail.com or visit the Contact Us page.
